April 26, 2018 : Syracuse FC announced today that Jake Leahy has joined the club for the 2018 season.
The 6’3” goalkeeper finished his redshirt-freshman season at Syracuse University in 2017. Leahy played for The Peddie School before joining Syracuse University. The Brick, New Jersey native played every minute for Peddie during his final three years. He finished his high school career with 285 saves and was a captain his senior year. He was inducted into the Mercer County High School Soccer Hall of Fame. Leahy trained with the academy teams of Premier League teams Everton and Swansea City.
Additional player signings will be announced throughout the coming weeks as SFC continues to develop its 2018 roster in preparation for the home opener match vs Erie Commodores on Saturday, May 19th, at OCC’s Lazer Stadium.
